does this sound familiar?

  • They play great in practice, then fall apart the moment the pressure's on.

  • They shut down after one bad play and can't get back into the game.

  • They stopped talking to their coach — or teammates — about what's actually wrong.

  • Every mistake turns into "I'm just not good enough," and it's starting to follow them off the court.

  • The stress of school, friendships, and the sport all hitting at once is starting to show.

None of this means something is wrong with your athlete. It means no one has taught them how to handle it yet.

How we help

M2 uses the PEAK framework — the same system we use with elite athletes — to build the skills underneath the performance. It's not four separate lessons; it's one system that keeps cycling as your athlete grows. Here's what that looks like for your athlete:

Presence — Noticing before reacting Learning to catch a hard emotion or a spiraling thought in the moment — instead of getting swept into it. This is what stands between one bad play and a full spiral.

Engagement — Two sides of the same skill Internally: making room for frustration, fear, or self-doubt instead of fighting them or being ruled by them — emotions become information, not a verdict. Externally: the confidence to actually say something — to a coach, a teammate, a parent — even when it's uncomfortable, instead of going quiet exactly when it matters most.

Action — Following through anyway Once an athlete can notice a feeling and make room for it, the next step is choosing what to do regardless of how loud that feeling is. "I'm scared to mess up" and "I still take the shot" learning to coexist.

Kinetic Growth — Growth as a cycle, not a straight line Teaching athletes (and the families around them) that pulling back to rest and reset isn't falling behind — it's how real, sustainable growth actually works, especially when school, sport, and life are all colliding at once.

working with families

We keep parents in the loop — not with jargon, but with a clear, honest picture of what's going on and what's next.

You'll know what your athlete is working on, why it matters, and how to support it at home, without needing a degree in sport psychology to follow along.
